Mondays are not for the weak!

YOU can now feel better about your Mondays!!
Rest assure, that if you've had a rough day at the office, Monday nights will make you feel better about your life!

Between NBC's new hit show "The Black List" (finally NBC got a show right) or CBS's "Hostages" ( another drama, sure why not) you'll be feeling better about having an ordinary life in which spilling coffee on your newly dry cleaned pants is your only concern.

On episode 5 of The Blacklist we finally start seeing Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) do a little more than just bitch at Liz (Megan Boone).

Episode 5 kicks off with Red (James Spader) finding out that The Courier (Robert Knepper)  -a middle man that no one crosses, is delivering a package worth millions. This package ends up being a major kidnapping of a NSA agent who could in fact have the information that Liz needs about her "wonderful" husband. The only problem is, that not even Red himself knows who this "middle man" is.
Of course in nature of  the dramatic antics of The Blacklist, The Courier has a rare disease in which he feels no pain, leading him to use his body as a pin cushion and storage facility. Not only this but according to his jailed brother his father used to fight dogs and would use his son as one of the fighters UGH WHAT!?!?! Ya I think everyone had that same reaction. It couldn't be a simple case, could it!?

Have no fear though, the super heroes at the FBI hunted him down and killed him, leaving everyone with one tiny problem....HOW ARE WE GOING TO FIND THE KIDNAPPED AGENT?!?!?!

Finally it's Ressler's turn to shine, and ladies let's all be honest with ourselves, we were a bit turned on by his stern face as he was dragging a knife across his arm.
Once The Courier died Ressler volunteers to go undercover as The Courier in order to figure out where the NSA agent is (and probably to try and outshine Liz). Unfortunately though, he's made and now it's up to our favorite "villain" to save the day!

Now it wouldn't be The Blacklist without Liz getting into some type of disaster. FINALLY it looks like we are going to find out what is up with her mysterious (so cute) husband!! During The Courier fiasco Liz is unaware that at home her hubby has figured out that Liz knows about the hidden box. This could be a blessing in disguise honestly (well at least for all the viewers) and make the confrontation less awkward!

Speaking of family troubles, there's no family
more in a pickle than the Sanders on CBS's (on the way out show) Hostages
.

Now when I say this I KNOW I'm not the only one, but I am genuinely surprised they've been able to keep me hooked this long. The plot seemed pretty shallow to me; hostage situation, do what they say, kill the president, everyone is happy , something made it different though.

Hostages definitely takes you on an emotional roller coaster. Usually in series like these there's a clear cut outline on who you're rooting for and who you want to see fail, not in this one though, you tend to find yourself feeling bad for the "bad guys" and at some points even relating to them. It's like being in a bad relationship where you're trying to outweigh the bad with the good, and explaining to your friends "that they're great deep deep down inside and underneath all that awfulness".

Since we were first introduced to Duncan Carlisle (Dylan Mdcermott) we couldn't help but see that there was some good in him (mostly because he's beautiful and women try to find the good in all jerks) but then we'd quickly realize he was holding an innocent family captive. As the season progressed though, we see that he's not the only one who may have underlining good.

In episode 5 we watch as everyone returns back to the house and his held hostage again (who would've figured that). Dr. Sanders (Toni Collete) returns home after she finds out that her husband has been shot, and the kids simply were dumb and got caught. During all this nonsense is happening we find out some juicy dirt on the side. Archer (Billy Brown) was not supposed to kill the nurse but instead hold her hostage until...well God only knows, unfortunately she tried running away and Archer had noooooooooo other choice (oh the struggle) but to shoot her.

Meanwhile Sandrine (Sandrine Holt) apparently owes big shots money, which leads us to believe (as suspected) that she is in fact....wait for it......oh ya! still a cold hearted bitch who is only in it for the money. NO SURPRISE THERE!!!She is definitely the only one on that show that I have a pure hate for. Ughhhhhh!

Moving on...We also find out, that Dr. Sanders was not chosen out of random but in fact because she killed someone before, oh my god someone sound the suspense alarm! Now that we know this, we are stuck with that question again, "to feel bad for her or not to feel bad for her?".

And last but not least we bring to you THE ENDING! Talk about a turn of events! In episodes passed, we learn that Archer trusts Duncan and expresses that in the loyalty he has for him, so it's a shocker and somewhat a heartbreak to see Carlisle betray his trust and set him up! Of course I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation for this...right!?
For those of you who have seen the upcoming previews aka sign of desperation, you'll see that nothing is as it seems, and well I guess we'll just have to wait and find out and hope that they don't cancel the show!
